If we talk only about an equation then it simply means representation of a chemical reaction using symbols and formulas of the reactant involved and the.products formed after the reaction.
But a balanced chemical equation refers to a particular type of chemical equation in which the total mass of the reactant is equal to the total mass of the products as per the law of conservation of mass. If not, the chemicla4 equation is termed as skeletal equation.
