• A household consists of one or more persons living in the same house, condominium or apartment. They may or may not be related.

• A domestic group has two or more members who live in the same home and are related by birth, marriage or adoption.

All domestic groups are also households, but not all households are domestic groups.

A household group is one in which the people who are either related or unrelated share a common dwelling whereas a domestic group is one in which people not only share a dwelling but also share food supply.

In domestic group, the people are always related to each other in some way.
