isotopes are the atoms of the same element having same atomic number but different mass number.
isobars are the atoms of different elements having same mass number but different atomic number

isobars are the pair of elemnts with same atomic mass but different atomic numbers. it consists of 2 different elements
eg: argon and calcium who have atomic numbers as 18 and 20 and mass as 40
isotopes are the elements with same atomic number and different atomic masses. it consists of same elements
eg: carbon which has its atomic number as 6 and mass as 12 and 14.
