there are three states of matter..Solid, Liquid,Gaseous(gas).
Solids are the substances which have a large intermolecular force of attraction b/w them and less intermolecular space, the particles are close to each other.
e.g. metals, a hard substance
liquids are the substances which have intermolecular space more than solids ..with less intermolecular force of attraction.
the particles are not very close to each other..e.g. water molecule
gases are the states of matter with least intermolecular force of attraction and more intermolecular space..the particles are very far away from each other..e.g. o² molecule
hope it helps !! :)

Solid have tightly pack molecules.
They do not have intermolecular space.
Liquid have loose pack molecules.
They have intermolecular space in them.
Gases molecules are freely moving.
Particles of attraction is very less.
