what are the difference between the mass of an object and it weight

In mass the gravity is not exerted but in weight gravity influence it as on earth

ther is a basic diff. bcoz mass is the actual amt. of material contained in a body and is measured in kg ,gm etc.whereas weight is the force exerted by the gravity on that object mg.
