What are the difference beween scaler and vector?

Scalar quantity has only magnitude and no direction for eg distance whereas vector quantity has both direction and magnitude for eg displacement

A scalar is a physical quantity which has only magnitude but no direction.
A vector is a physical quantity which has both magnitude and direction.
