mainly there are two maon types of crops grown in India
1.RABI CROPS
these crops are sown in the month of November mostly and harvested in the month of April /May .In other words it is shown in the end of rainy season.It requires cold climate to grow and hot climate to germinate.
e.g.oil seeds, gram, wheat, etc
2.KHARIF CROPS
these crops are sown in the month of June and July and harvested in the months of September and October e.i.,when the monsoon begins.It requires huge amount of water and hot climatic condition to grow
e.g.bajra,cotton, maize, rice, etc
