toad is the baby frog which has tail and looks like a different insect
and frog is an adult and doesn't have tail and it looks different from toad

I also used to get it messed up too.
1) A frog's hind legs are very long, as frogs hop more frequently then then taods
a frog hind legs will be Bigger then it's head and body.
2) A toads head legs will be smaller as toad tend to crawl. their head legs will be shorter then their heads and bodies.

(ii) Teeth are in upper jaw in frogs and in toad teeth are absent in both the jaws.
(iii) Toads have gills but Frogs don't have gills.
