what are the differences between acids and bases?

one main difference between the acid and base is that, acids contains hydrogen whereas bases contain hydroxides. the color of the acid in the litmus paper is red whereas the color of bases in litmus paper is blue. the ph level of acids is 1to 6 whereas the bases have ph level from 8 to 14 .

Acids and bases are two types of corrosive substances. Any substance with pH value 0 to 7 is considered as acid whereas with 7 to 14 will considered as  base.
