Autotrophic Nutrition :-

In this mode of nutrition, food is synthesised from the inorganic substances.

For autotrophic nutrition, chlorophyll and sunlight are required.

Food is generally prepared at day time.

All green plants and some bacteria possess autotrophic mode of nutrition.

Heterotrophic Nutrition :-

In this mode of nutrition,  food is obtained from the autotrophs or another organisms.

For heterotrophic nutrition, chlorophyll and sunlight are not required.

Food can be obtained any time.

All fungi and animals possess heterotrophic mode of nutrition
