Differences between book painting and scroll painting:

Scroll painting:

  • Scroll painting is an art form which is practiced in predominant parts of East Asia.
  • The two dominant styles can be demonstrated by the Chinese landscape scroll, which is the greatest contribution of that civilization to the history of painting, and the Japanese narrative scroll, which established the ability of painting to tell stories.

Book painting:

  • Book Painting is an art-form that has been historically used in more western countries, as well as a few eastern countries.
  • This style includes paintings that are demonstrated in ancient books instead of scrolls, which can be used as a significant source for studying history.
