Answer:

A change which is generally reversible by reversing the conditions is known as a physical change. No new substances are produced.

E.g. - Evaporation of water.  (can be reversed by reversing the conditions, i.e., cooling it)

A change which cannot be reversed by reversing the conditions is known as a chemical change. New substances are also produced.

E.g. - Burning of wood. (Ash and smoke is produced (new substances), cannot be reversed)

Answer:

Physical changes - Are changes in an object which turn it into a state in which the original substance is returned by various physical property altering states.

In a physical change only the physical properties like shape, size, volume etc of objects change. for eg: When we freeze water we get ice, and by the process of melting we get water again. This is a physical change as we get the water back after some process.

Chemical changes- Are changes in which the chemical properties of objects change. The original substance can't be obtained.

Eg: when we combust hydrocarbons (molecules made only of carbon and hydrogen. eg- ethane, methane, etc) with oxygen we will always get water(H2O) ,carbon dioxide (CO2)  and heat energy which will evaporate the water. There is no chance you'll get your hydrocarbon or oxygen by any method.

P.S take some extra knowledge from me, that in chemistry there are 5 major chemical reactions- redox reactions, single displacement reactions, combustion reactions, synthesis and decomposition reaction.
