What Are The Differences Between Food Web And Food Chain?

A food web describes what each entity in the food chain has for lunch while a food web describes who has who for lunch. A web is connected throughout, i.e, A eats B and C, C eats D and F but is eaten by E and so on and so forth. But in a food chain the connection is linear, i.e, A eats B and is eaten by C, which is eaten by D and so on and so forth.

A) UR ANSWER :-

❤️FOOD CHAIN❤️

➡️A food chain only follows just one path as animals find food.

➡️A food chain is a linear network of links in a food web starting from producer organisms and ending at apex predator species, detritivores, or decomposer species.

➡️A food chain also shows how the organisms are related with each other by the food they eat.

➡️Each level of a food chain represents a different trophic level.

➡️eg: A hawk eats a snake, which has eaten a frog, which has eaten a grasshopper, which has eaten grass.

❤️ FOOD WEB ❤️

➡️A food web shows the many different paths plants and animals are connected.

➡️Food web is a network of food chains where all the chains are naturally interconnected. A food web consists of many food chains.

➡️A food web is the natural interconnection of food chains and a graphical representation of what-eats-what in an ecological community.

➡️Another name for food web is consumer-resource system.

➡️ eg: A hawk might also eat a mouse, a squirrel, a frog or some other animal.
