What are the differences between manure and fertilizers?

We add both manures and fertilizers to improve the quality of soil. They help in growing the plants and crops.

Manures:  

Manure are those additives which are all natural. For example, the waste of animal which is used in fields to improve them.

Fertilizers:

Fertilizer additives may be natural as well as some chemical may be added to it. For example, urea is a fertilizer.

• Manures and fertilizers serve a common purpose of increasing the fertility of the soil.
• Manures are made from natural dead and decaying plant and animal waste whereas fertilizers are prepared chemically in industries.
• Manures provide a general set of nutrients to the soil whereas fertilizers provide a specific nutrients to the soil.
• Fertilizers are costly as compared to manures and have some side effects as well.
• An excessive amount of fertilizers are harmful to soil whereas there is no such restriction in the case of manures.
