What are the differences between metals and alloys ?

Ametal is the pure chemical element being iron, copper, chrome, gold, whatever. An alloy is a mixture of various elements: iron, chrome, copper, zinc, whatever. Most metals as we use them are mixtures, in metal terms:alloys.

alloys are homogeneous substances of metals and non-metal. brass is an alloy.
