A nephridium is an excretory organ found in  lower organisms like worms, molluscs etc. while malpighian tubules  are thin tubules found  in  the posterior regions of insects and terrestrial arthropods. ... Nephridia  open into body cavity while malpighian tubules  empty into alimentary canal.
