SHM:-

SHM is a to and fro motion which gets repeated with flow of time.

example:- PENDULUM.

It performs SHM with a time period "T" and frequency "F".

full form of SHM is SIMPLE HARMONIC MOTION.

But,

no SHM makes it non-bounds and is free to move with or neither with any time period.

For example,

movement of car from one place to another,.

it does not have any bounds anf can and cannot go with no time.

THERE ARE SEVERAL EXAMPLES OF NON-SHM BUT VERY FEW OF SHM.

THANKS

Answer:

Difference between Periodic and Simple Harmonic Motion

In the periodic motion, the displacement of the object may or may not be in the direction of the restoring force. In the simple harmonic motion, the displacement of the object is always in the opposite direction of the restoring force.
