Functions of PCT :-
→ The cells present in this part have brush boarder which is capable of absorption
→ PCT receives primary urine from glomerulus. It regulates excretion of urine by absorbing excess water from primary urine.
→ Small amounts of tubular secretion also takes place in the proximal convoluted tubule.
Functions if DCT :-
→ Distal convoluted tubule is the highly coiled part found in medulla of the kidney.
→ After reabsorption of water the urine travels through loop of the Henle into Distal convoluted tubule. Here water and salts are excreted. It maintains proper concentration and pH of the urine.
→ The secretion if wastes like extra salts, ions of K+ ,Na+,Cl - and H+ takes place in distal convoluted tubule.

Heya!!!
Hope this helps u!!!
PCT
The proximal portion of the renal tubule which is present in the form of many coils is called as Proximal Convoluted Tubule (PCT). Glucose, amino acids, Vitamin-c , Potassium, calcium, sodium chloride, 75% of water, etc, are the substances reabsorbed into peritubular network from Proximal Convoluted Tubule (PCT) .
DCT
The distal portion of the renal tubule which is present in the form of many coils is called as Distal Convoluted Tubule (DCT). Urea, uric acid, creatinine, sodium, potassium, hydrogen ions are secreted into Distal Convoluted Tubule (DCT). The Distal Convoluted Tubule (DCT) opens into a collecting tube.
