The most observable difference is the way in which cytokinesis occurs. In plants a new cell wall is fashioned between the new daughter cells, while in animal cells the cell membrane constricts to pinch the parent cell into daughter cells.

(plants cell)
Plant cell does not change their shape before the division
It is induced by a specific plant hormone called cytokin
Centrosome does not occur
Mitotic apparatus of spindle presists a phagmoplast at time of cytokinesis
(animals cell)
Animal cell become rounded before cell division
No. Of hormones are known to induced cell division but a specific cell division hormone is not known
Centrosome is essential
Mitotic apparatus contains astres. spindle is amphiastral.
