Answer:  A clear division of power exists between the state government and union government as demarcated by the constitution. there are three lists that divide the power between two these are state list and union list.

Explanation:

The power of center government are mentioned in the state lists. The subject on which the state government can make laws are maintaining law and order in the state ,health,police, transport and land policies etc.

The power of union government are mentioned in the union lists. The subject on which the union government can make laws are of national importance . These are railways, currency , external affairs, defense, banking etc .
