The two types of calculating population growth is as follows :
1)Absolute growth
It is obtained by simply subtracting the latter population from the earlier population
2)Annual growth rate
When the growth is studied in percent per annum. For eg if there is an increase of 2% this means that there was an increase of 2 persons for every 100 persons in the base population.
