HORMONES are chemical signals which are transported through ductless glands and act on the target organ away from their source. Their affects are usually long lasting. Their secretion s can affect the growth of an individual. Their response is slower.

NERVOUS SYSTEM includes brain spinal cord and nerves.

In this the impulse for any stimulus is transmitted electrochemically through nerves. Their affects are short lived. They donot affect the growth of an individual. Their response is faster
