Plant Cell has an outer rigid Cell wall made up of Cellulose, whereas, in Animal cell, Cell wall is absent. Plasma membrane is the outermost covering.

Plant cell has a distinct definite shape because of the rigid cell wall. So the shape of the cell is permanent. The shape of the Animal cell is not so definite. It can change its shape.

Plant cell contains Plastids. Most important of these is the green Chloroplast. In Animal cell, Plastids are absent.

vacuoles are fewer and larger in plant cell, vacuoles are either absent or very small in number and size in animal cell.

All Animal cells have Centrosomes. Some lower plant groups only have centrosome.

In plant cell, mostly Starch is the storage material, where as in Animal cell Glycogen is the storage material
