Blood is a specialized body fluid. It has four main components: plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Blood has many different functions, including:

transporting oxygen and nutrients to the lungs and tissues

forming blood clots to prevent excess blood loss

carrying cells and antibodies that fight infection

bringing waste products to the kidneys and liver, which filter and clean the blood

Blood is a fluid connective tissue and goes to all parts of our body though blood vessels. It is the basic transport system of the Human body

Components of Blood are-

RBC's - or Red blood cells are specialised cells which flow in the blood and contain the enzyme Haemoglobin which carries oxygen

Plasma - This is a semisolid or a fluidy kind of substance in the blood which is whitish in colour and carries toxic waste/carbon-dioxide and various hormones and substances to different places in our body

Platelets - They are substances which clot the blood when a cut or small injury takes place and blood flows out of its vessels.

WBC's - White Blood Cells are the cells which fight foreign bacteria/materials in our body.

Hope it helps
