Answer:

There are 4 different forms of power-sharing in modern democracies:

1) Power is shared among different  organs of government

For example:- In India, power is divided between different organs of the government named, the Legislature, the Executive and the Judiciary.

2)Power can be shared among  governments at different levels

For example:- In India, power is shared among different levels of the government such as the Central Government, the State Government, the Municipal Cooperation and Panchayats.

3)Power may also be shared among different social groups

For example:- In Belgium, power is shared among the French-speaking community and the Dutch-speaking community in the Central Government as well as in Brussels since both the communities have equal representation.

4) Power-sharing can  also be seen in political  parties, pressure groups and  movements

For example:- Many times a single party is unable to win an election in the state elections. So, the parties form a coalition government.
