What are the different functions of transpiration served in plants?

Stomata serve a very important function to plants,allowing term to use photosynthesis to make energy for survival. However, water loss also known as transpiration, occurs when the Stomata are open and gases are exchanging, which can be harmful to plants.

Transpiration :- Evaporation of water molecules from the cells of a leaf create a suction which pulls water from the xylem cells of roots. The loss of water in the form of vapour from the Aerial parts of the plant is called as transpiration.

Function :-

It helps in the absorption and upward movement of water and minerals dissolved in it form roots to the leaves.

It helps in the regulation of the temperature.
