What are the different kinds of leaves? Give examples.

There are two different kinds of leaves they are simple and compound leaves. Simple leaves are the leaf in which the leaf blade or lamina is entire. It is not divided into leaflets. Examples: Mango, Hibiscus.

Compound leaves have the lamina formed into number of leaf like lobes known as leaflets.There is a common axis upon which the leaflets are borne is known as rachis.

There are two types of compound leaves they are (i) pinnately compound (ii) palmately compound. Examples: Tamarind, Moringa.
