Answer:

Contraception is the process of preventing pregnancy during any sexual contact.

There are many methods of Contraception. They are as follows:

1. Barrier Method: Usage of Mechanical Barriers such as Condoms can prevent the male gametes from entering the female's body. This helps in controlling pregnancy as well as prevent Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

2. Hormone Method: Sometimes, people take Hormones to stop a follicle from getting released from the ovary. This prevents pregnancy as the female gamete is not released. This leads to imbalance in the female's hormonal levels.

3. Chemical Method: Chemicals such as Creams and Lotions can be applied over the female's reproductive region, so that male gametes are either prevented or killed in the reproductive tract. Also usage of IUCD ( Intrauterine Contraceptive Devices ) can prevent pregnancies.

4. Surgery Method: Male's reproductive part has a long tube called vas deferens which secretes the semen. This can be cut and folded by a surgery which prevents male gametes from entering outside the body. This is called Vasectomy. Similarly, Female's Fallopian Tube is cut and folded to prevent entry of male gametes. This is called Tubectomy in females.

These are the various methods of contraception.
