Heterotrophic nutrition:- heterotrophic nutrition is the mode of nutrition in which organism obtain the energy from the digestion of other organic substance that is prepared by other autotrophs.

the mode of nutrition by which the organism obtain their food from the other living organisms is called heterotrophic mode of nutrition.

it has basically three types:-

1). saprophytic nutrition :- the heterotrophic nutrition which obtain their food by the dead and decaying organic matter such as rotten leaves, dead animals etc , is called saprophytic nutrition.

2). parasitic nutrition:- the heterotrophic nutrition in which the organism obtain their food by the other living organism by acting as a parasite. That means, the attack and feed on the host.

3). holozoic:- the heterotrophic nutrition in which the living organism obtain their food by the other organisms and digestion take place inside their body is called holozoic mode of nutrition.
