Neurodevelopmental disorders are a group of conditions , such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorders , where the development of the central nervous system ( namely the brain ) is abnormal such that it may affect a person's emotional expressions and understanding , memory , inpulsecontrol , and learning. The category of neurodevelopmental disorders , as set out in the DSM-5 , includes: attention deficit hyperactivity disorderd (ADHD) , autism spectrum disorder (ASD) , communication disorders , intellectual developmental disorder , motor disorder , and specific learning disorders.
