Disaster Management

It can be defined as the organization and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular response and recovery in order to lessen the impact of disasters.

Different phases of Disaster-

There are four disaster management phases-

1. Mitigation
2. Preparedness
3. Response
4. Recovery

Def.

1. It helps in minimizing the effects of disaster.
2. It plans how to respond.
3. It make efforts to minimize the hazards created by a disaster.
4. Recovery refers to returning the community to normal.
