Answer
The great depression started in 1929 and continued till the mid-1930s. The different points of view about the great depression during the world war were as follows:
• Great depression affected production, employment, incomes and trade.
• There was a fall in the prices of the agricultural production which affected the agricultural regions, communities and the farmers most.
• Agricultural overproduction led to this problem. Due to depression prices fell and agriculture income reduced, the farmers increased the agriculture production which led to a large volume of agricultural products. Due to this, prices decreased and the farm produce became rotten due to the lack of buyers.
• Many countries were dependent on the US for loans to maintain their investments but when US overseas loans added up to $ 1 billion and later it became more, it was difficult for the countries to take the loan from the US.
• Ultimately, when the US withdraw financial support many countries faced problems, such as currency and banks in Europe collapsed; agricultural and raw material prices also declined in many countries.
