Sources of Plant Nutrients

Organic or natural sources of nutrients:
These nutrients are from natural sources such as plants and animals. Examples of the sources are green manure, farm animal droppings, compost, treated human excrete

Compost:
It is decayed matter of plant and animal sources that have been heaped together for some time.


Inorganic sources of plant nutrients.These are nutrients synthesized artificially in the laboratory using chemical substances. Eg NPK, fertilizer

Fertilizers:
They are substances that are applied to soil to supply it with adequate nutrients needed for plant growth
