To prevent ozone depletion we should take the following steps :-
1. We should minimise the use of green house gases.
2. Specially we should stop using CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons)
3. We should plant more and more trees.
4. Stop burning trees and fossil fuels.
The main gas responsible for ozone depletion is chlorofluorocarbons. Chlorofluorocarbons is a gas used in refrigerators, air conditioner and paint sprays.
Ozone layer is very useful as it don't allow uv (ultraviolet) rays to enter. Uv rays are very harmful as it can cause skin cancer and many other diseases. Hence ozone layer is very useful.
Another method is to buy refrigerators and air conditioner in which ammonia is used. Refrigerators and air conditioner with CFCs is little cheap.
