Cells are categorized into two types on the basis of nuclear material present in them.

-Prokaryotic

-Eukaryotic

Pro-karyotes mean nucleus, are the ones with unorganized strands of plasmids suspended in the cytoplasm. For example: bacteria etc. Prokaryotes do not have any membrane bounded organelle.

On the contrary eu-karyotes mean true nucleus, have organized structure inside their nucleus. For example: Animal and plant cells.  All organelles present in eukaryotic cells are membrane bounded.
