there are three types of friction static, rolling and sliding
in static friction the force which is required to overcome friction at the instant an object starts moving from rest is a measure of static friction and
sliding friction the force of friction between the two surfaces in contact when one of them just slide over the other is called sliding friction

and rolling friction the force of friction between the two surface in contact when one of them is rolling on the other is called rolling friction

Rolling friction : The froce of friction between the two surfaces in contact when one of them is rolling is called rolling friction.
