Rectangle :

  • All the angles of a rectangle are 90°.
  • Opposite sides of a rectangle are parallel and equal.
  • In a rectangle, diagnols bisect each other.

  • All the angles of a square are 90°.
  • All the sides of a rectangle are equal and opposite sides are parallel.
  • Diagnols in a square bisect each other perpendicularly.

Parallelogram :

  • Opposite angles are equal.
  • Opposite sides are equal and parallel.
  • Diagnols bisect each other.
  • In a parallelogram, sum of any two adjacent angles is 180°.

Rhombus :

  • Opposite angles are equal.
  • All sides are equal whereas opposite sides are parallel.
  • Diagnols bisect each other perpendicularly.
  • Sum of any two adjacent angles is 180°.

Trapezium :

  • Only one pair of opposite sides are parallel to each other.
  • In a trapezium, adjacent angles add upto 180°.
