Animal droppings (animals eat fruit, seed goes through animal, gets excreted)
Falling from tree or shrub (e.g. Pine cones) and rolling away.
Sticking to animal fur or feathers (seeds that have tiny hooks that catch onto fur as an animal brushes past, then falls off later).
