there are three ways in which glucose is oxidized in organisms..

1. the incomplete breakdown of glucose in absent of oxygen in yeast..and let to formation of ethanol...

2.the incomplete breakdown of glucose in our muscle cell...in absent of oxygen....that led to formation of lactic acid..so,we get cramps ( muscle pain) during exercise...

3. complete breakdown of glucose in the presence of oxygen in mitochondria..and it's end product are..co2 and h2o
