There are various disadvantages of being proud.

1. your ego gets the best of you

Let's suppose you need help from someone who is younger to you. You won't be able to ask for help because you're too proud and you're ego won't let you ask for help to someone who isn't at the same level as you.

2. you won't progress

If you act like a maniac with bloated ego nobody will like you and you're chances of progressing will decrease drastically.

3. you'll start becoming overconfident

You'll think you're on top of the world and everybody must be under you. Trust me nobody likes a person like that.

one of such disvantage of being proud is that u won't get progress when ur in a difficult condition situation and someone junior to u in age social status and position renders a helpful or brilliant suggestion ur ego stops u from expecting his / her contribution
