here is your answer

Disadvantage of biodegradable

Apart from taking less time to break down when discarded, biodegradable plastics can also be recycled and are non-toxic since they contain no chemicals or toxins compared to other types of plastics that can emit harmful chemicals, especially if burned.

Biodegradable wastes are not harmful to the environment. In time, they get degraded and becomes a part of the ecosystem. It is the nondegradable wastes that are toxic to the environment. Biodegradable wastes if spread around in the open can act as breeding grounds for mosquitoes, flies and other vectors of diseases. They help in spreading diseases and also contaminate the environment. They also cause pollution, if dumped in large amounts in the environment.
