c) produces heat and damages parts

d) causes forest fires that results in animals lose their habitat

1) Friction produces heat in machines and damages it's parts.
2) It can produce fire on rubbing two surfaces.
3) It restricts the machine parts to run smoothly.
4) Therefore it reduces efficiency of machines.

But friction is also necessary in many ways...
