What are the disadvantages of fossil fuel ? Explain in brief.

Disadvantages of fossil fuels: Burning of fossil fuels produce gaseswhich cause global warming like carbon dioxide. Burning of coal and petroleum  cause air pollution due to the pollutants produced. Fossil fuels release oxides of carbon, sulphur and nitrogen etc. They cause acid rains, which affect the soil fertility and potable water.

(1) they are in limited quantities and not lasts for long.

(2) they cause undesirable pollution.

(3) they affect our living conditions and are major threats to community health.
