the disadvantages of these industries are:
1 .they need more heat to melt in this they need more oxygen.
2.they are mainly in outscuts here many trees are there they can be harmed.

The disadvantages of Iron and Steel industries:  

  • High maintenance cost.
  • Iron rusts very fast and it needs to be protected from water.
  • Iron has poor tensile strength and has poor resistance to impact.
  • Processing of Iron and Steel take up a lot of energy.

Explanation:

  • Steel cannot be molded in any direction and if steel loses its ductility property then there are greater chances of it developing fractures.  
  • Steel needs to be painted for making it corrosion-resistant. Steel has very small resistance against fire.
