The depletion of soil has affected the state of plant life and crops in agriculture in many countries. In the middle east for example, many countries find it difficult to grow produce because of droughts, lack of soil, and lack of irrigation.

The disadvantages of non availability of fertile soil in particular regions/country are follows:-

1)The regions/countries where soil are not fertil/arable need to fulfil their food required means though imports.

2) For example, countries like saudi Arabia, Qatar, omen, etc. fulfill their food requirements by importing food from China, India and USA.

3)The non availability of fertile soil and adversely effect the development of agriculture and further the development of agro-based industries.

4) This unlimately leads to slow development of such regions/countries.
