Following are the disadvantages of Petroleum over coal :-

♻️Petroleum reserves at the current rate of consumption are not going to last for more than two to four decades all over the world.Its supply is very limited .

♻️ Technology of obtaining crude oil, its refining and use combustion are not efficient even by the standards of highly developed countries.As such pollution on account of combustion isa major concern.

♻️Crude petroleum produceshuge quantities of hazardous wastes during refining .

♻️the petrochemical industry is fast expanding .Many plastics, Polymers and other synthetic products which don't decompose easily have produced many environmental problems .Such waste is proving to be dangerous to our environment and human health .
