in this arrangement, if any one of the component stops working, then the circuit gets broken up and none of the device will work.
all the appliances have only one switch due to which they cannot be turned on or off separately .
the appliances do not get the same voltage (220V) as that of the power supply line

series arrangement is not used in domestic circuits because

◾◾ There is voltage division in series circuits. Each component of a series circuit receives a small voltage for a large supply voltage. As a result, the amount of current decreases and the device becomes hot.

Disadvantages of Series Circuits

◾if one component in a series circuit fails due to any reason, then all the components in the circuit fail because the circuit has been broken.

◾the more components there are in a series circuit, the greater the circuit's resistance

◾ Current is constant in series combination, so it is impractical to connect a bulb and an electric heater in series.

I hope, this will help you
