dispersion medium and dispersed phase are the same phenomenon as the solvent and solute in solution


so the medium( either solid , liquid or gas ) in which the particle dissolves ( collide are moving substance not solution they do not mix ) is called dispersion medium , or
in colloids the particle which are in excess called dispersion medium .
the particles which are dissolved in dispersion medium , called dispersed phase.
or the particles which are less , called dispersed phase.
examples .
Gold sol
is a type of collide in which the
dispersed phase is -> Gold
and dispersion medium is liquid
