1. A chemical equation does not tell us if a reaction actually happens or not. For example
Cu + H2SO4 ---> CuSO4 + H2
This reaction is expected to take place but actually it does not occur.
2. The rate of reaction is not conveyed through a chemical equation. i.e. the reaction will proceed at a slow, moderate or fast speed is not conveyed.
