The drawbacks of cutting trees are
1) the trees provide shelter to many animals and birds. So by cutting down the trees it destroys animal habitats.
2) the trees release oxygen during the process of photosynthesis which helps in respiration of animals but when we cut these trees, the amount of oxygen in atmosphere decreases.
3) also, some trees like neem, peepal are very advantageous in medicinal use.
4) by cutting down the trees, global warming also increases which is threat to life of living organisms on the earth.
